Peanut butter is my jam. (See what I did there?) I’m not a huge chocolate fan, but if you combine it with peanut butter I’ll eat it almost 100% of the time. Peanut butter milkshakes might be my favorite food of all time.

Social media’s fine, I guess, but being outside is my preferred method of engaging with the world. Give me all the flora, fauna, and SPF 3000. I’m here for it.

love names. I love their meanings, the way they sound when they’re spoken out loud, and the stories behind them. I read baby name books for fun. One of my favorite things about starting a new novel is coming up with excellent character names.

Speaking of names, some names have tastes to me. For instance, Bridget tastes like matzo crackers and Tina tastes like macaroni salad. This doesn’t happen with all names, though, so my daily life probably isn’t much tastier than yours.

I fell in love with writing because of a state-wide writing test students were required to take in fourth grade. To prepare, we took a few practice tests. By the time the real thing rolled around, I was hooked. I passed because of my story about Mexican jumping beans in the janitor’s closet.

In seventh grade, we were given the first ten minutes of English class to free write. I wrote my first novel that year. I did not learn any grammar.

Writing is not my day job. Unfortunately, writing books isn’t typically lucrative enough to enable authors to buy groceries or pay the mortgage. But! I have a day job I love doing communications and graphic design.

Thanks to my multiple years spent as a summer camp counselor, I can build an excellent five-foot-tall campfire with one match. (Related: I am a huge fan of s’mores.)

Spoilers don’t bother me. I don’t mind hearing about the surprise ending before I’ve seen the movie. I like knowing the twist before getting into the series. Sometimes I read the last page first. I’m not at all a fan of surprises.

If I could have any superpower, I’d exist outside of time. Mostly because I haaaaate when my alarm goes off in the morning, so it would be amazing if I could hit a pause button, keep snoozing, then un-pause everything once I was nice and rested. Doesn’t that sound like the best?
